A winter storm is expected to hit New York City on Wednesday night, with forecasters predicting at least 6 more inches of snow.

New York City has seen double its average snow totals so far this winter — and more is on the way.
A winter storm expected to hit the city Wednesday night has forecasters predicting at least 6 more inches of snow.
Still, this winter has nothing on the 2010-2011 season.
A total of 41.5 inches of snow has fallen since Oct. 1. But the winter three years ago yielded 61.9 inches.
